Tips

Common Behavior Signals
 - Just Before A Bite -
1.The dog freezes with a stiff body posture.
2.The dog locks into a stare or displays whale eye.
3.The hair on their back will piloerect (stand up). This is not always a signal for aggression or nervousness.
4.They growl. Growling can be a warning that the dog is uncomfortable. It can also be a sign that a dog is excited or aroused during play.
5.They will carry their tail differently than normal. Some may hold it straight up, others have it down and tucked between their back legs.
6.Yawning and averting their gaze away from you.
7.Licking lips - stopping and staring at you

How To Manage A New Rescue Dog
1.The dog does not have free range inside your home.
2.The dog learns to wear a muzzle
3.Until you 100% know the dog, it doesn't get toys.
4.When you go for walks, its always on leash, all the time.
5.If you have children, they don't play with the dog until you are 100% sure the dog is safe.

Feeding
We never recommend "free feeding". This means the dog always has food in a bowl available. We feed our dogs twice a day (puppies three times a day). When we feed, we put the food bowl down and pick it up in 15 or 20 minutes. If the dog has not eaten, the bowl still gets picked up.

Our board and train program offers an immersive experience for your dog where they will receive intensive training on a daily basis. This method often leads to faster progress and more consistent results.

Safe and Comfortable Environment: We ensure that your dog is comfortable and safe during their stay with us. Our facility is designed to be a home away from home for your pet.

Your dog will be under constant supervision by our professional trainers. They will ensure that your dog is not only learning, but also enjoying their time with us.

After the boarding and training period, we offer follow-up support to help transition the training from our facility to your home. This includes advice on how to maintain the training and address any issues that may arise.

Beyond training, we also provide quality care for your dog. This includes regular exercise, feeding, grooming, and socialization with other dogs. We strive to meet all your dog’s needs during their stay with us.

We maintain regular communication with the pet owners, updating them about their dog's progress and addressing any concerns they might have.

We use balanced method.

The balanced method of dog training, as its name suggests, involves a balanced approach that combines both positive reinforcement and corrective techniques.

With this method, positive behaviors are rewarded with treats, praise, or toys, encouraging your dog to repeat those behaviors. On the other hand, undesirable behaviors are corrected using various methods such as vocal corrections or leash corrections.

The goal of the balanced training method is to guide your dog towards making the right decisions on their own, not just to seek rewards or avoid corrections. The trainer's role is to help the dog understand what is expected of them and to communicate in a way the dog understands.

However, it's important to note that the balanced method should still be predominantly positive, with corrections used sparingly and only when necessary. The ultimate goal is to build a strong, positive relationship between the dog and owner where communication is clear and effective.

Dog training can start as early as 8 weeks old, once your puppy has had their necessary vaccinations. This is a perfect time to start basic obedience training, socialization, and potty training. Puppies are very receptive at this age and can learn basic commands such as "sit", "stay", "come", "down" etc.
